FAIR RETURNS

These times are likened a runaway train
Where no means of stopping may apply
Purely driven by the momentum gained
Triggered mostly by where we dared pry

Thus our approach to the end of the line
Where such energy awaits disembursed
With destruction intricate of such designs
Reflecting true measure of equal worth

EVIDENTLY

On the lighter side life’s so much fun
But much too heavy are our times
Much to happiness but daily undone
Towards end much more than signs

On its lighter side life’s so much fun
But too little of it seems to be left
For all of prolonging all but outdone
Hope hides in the belief of a “next”

CONFIGURED

How do you fix where empty
In what manner comes the bill
Dosed in how little; how plenty
Then do you indulge until…

How do you satisfy where empty
How cheap; how dear such keep
Where do you skimp to make hefty
How shallow where ought but deep
