WEIGHING IN

Foolishness stays clothed in most deep appeal
Wisdom but set aside a stale, reluctant alternative
Yet of the ills of foolishness, the only apt to heal
Of it revealing and of that clearly communicative

In foolishness, most definite, no short of company
Though wisely the path fearfully straight and solitary
But only in wisdom can ever rise nay triumphantly
While in foolishness, a sad clown, pretending merry

OF OLD AND WISE

Elderly is not necessarily wisdom
It just might be rigid foolishness
Of growing insecurity; of such concerns
Hosted in an air of fragile goodness

Elderly poses no guarantee of wisdom
Unless eagerly sought at a younger age
Of lifestyle; of living; total possession
Thus to all and sundry a regarded sage

THE LEDGE

The world has turned a most hostile place
Environmentally unfriendly, interactively ill
To such dimensions there is nowhere safe
But except nestled in a divine way and will

The world over is but one troubled spot
In content varying but in principle; same
No matter where you may be it is as hot
And will continue thus (if you) so remain

ALAS

You are under an assumed identity
Since by another given a name
Living within the codes of society
Under its auspices to so remain

You sport a long mistaken identity
By virtue/sake of employment
Contributing in total; an indemnity
Nakedly only in bereavement

PSEUDO

When you’re not yourself, you’re beside
Acting or busy laying some impression
Or else your true feelings would try hide
Resulting in true self to a compression

When you’re not yourself but counterfeit
Trying your utmost to pass for real
Only to find others but there you; meet
So superficially but wheel and deal

LEGACY

How would you conclude your life story
As its director and having its leading role
Familiar with its script and all its history
And of the productions would left untold

What kind of ending would your life story
As director/star acting daily on such set
Who are the rogues and to whom the glory
And how is it all facilitated by your death

USE NO HOOKS

Find ways to make truth less offensive
Restrain from replacing it with a lie
Discuss it friendly when argumentative
Accept it even if must privately cry

Find ways to pass on discovered truth
Without sensation or cheap gossip
Without self-importance or being cute
Show its merits: Use simple logic

STRESSED-OUT

A lie detector measures the stress factors of a lie
That would oitherwise take its toll undetected
Unabated to which physically sick; eventually die
Without a clue to show how closely connected

Here is evidence of the ills of lies on the physical
But how does it impact on our spiritual being
How come sickness nay death be considered normal
What attributes to their real but full meaning

ENRICHING

Then review it all as if it made the news
Rely upon the wisdom of your own experience
Yet still entertain the accounts of others
But your own for your reference and compliance
With each kept strictly under such covers

Grasp firmly the wisdom of each valid experience
By interchanging the angles of your views
Analyze as per both cause and their consequence

OF-COURSE

As we navigate life; an obstacle course
Instrumentally we re-calibrate our values
Getting better as we prepare for worse
By a string of correlations hence reviews

As we negotiate through myriad twists
We free ourselves most former attitudes
Potentially new unless choose to insist
To plateau and comfort in but ineptitude

SLEEPLESS

Dreams have become but elusive
Nightmares closer the reality
Projections are but inconclusive
Beyond scope and/or ability

Dreams remain cherished outcomes
Nightmares true to the reality
Dreams are by nightmares outdone
Riding/matching each mentality

SETTING COURSE

Enquire the circumstances of your birth
Find sound reasons for your existence
The true purpose for your stay on earth
What proportion is of your insistence

In trying to fill the emptiness felt within
What seems to be the last on the list
To negate a lifetime of over-running sin
Legibly accounted by all have missed
