I'm very close to God: Of Him mostly
I'll never exploit others in His name
For He instructed; to my soul very costly
Ever mindful of all He says must remain

A day at a time in full comprehension
In His arms I am so caught

Fresh challenges or faced consequences
Under what label do we actually meet
Fallen routine but serving life sentences
As such success nay but accepted defeat

From whence the wisdom to differentiate
To what value of the myriad experiences
Instead huge bundles to be named fate

PRIDE & PASSION

Just how do you feed your spirit
Drugs, alcohol or egotistically
To what such a drive be given credit
To what maintained so artfully

Just how do you feed that spirit
To what be given credibility
What, if of it, become separate
What then the new culpability
