PRE-PROGRAMMED

Imprinted on each mind; dormant in each sub-conscious
-Is a deep desire to love God and observe His ways
To orient ourselves until He becomes our primary focus
To achieve this end by but the subject of our prayers

How else would explain the proud feeling; of being well
When (no matter how little) but be of something good
Compared the rotten way when of any form of lies, tell
What's responsible; what the reason the differing moods

PLEDGING MYSELF

I thank Thee God for being both human and alive
And given the "will" I can exercise for goodness sake
The power of reasoning as to such conclusions arrive
And the influence so gained that others may partake

I thank Thee God for the potential of my environment
I apologize for all things by wanton behavior that we lost
Yet, even at this late hour, I pledge to You to complement
To persuade those of my immediacy to so make the most

UNEASY

Life for you must be harsh; must be cruel
Judging from the frequency of your lies
But which merely adds to the cold sequel
In artful covers for most tender cries

Life to you must be in a terrible setting
Marked by the spontaneity of your lies
Come to such rescue; aiding and abetting
To a tear-stained face carried very dry

OVER COMPENSATING

If you constantly try to be somebody maybe you are a nobody
A product of your own low self-esteem
Likewise if you're not content of being just anybody
Attempting reality of a nightmare mistaken for a dream

If you but only egotistically try to be better; to be best
Maybe with your own self-esteem have waged war
When its terribly insulting to but lump you with the rest
But above all of your true self disappointed; but far

TUCKING AWAY

Each day lived properly or not will go by
Leaving only in its wake, its accountability
For re-do or undo will not even apply
Nor any change to but any suitability

Each day so sets for itself its own records
Building weeks, months; years of accountability
Preparing an environment in which to go forward
Laying corresponding immunity or vulnerability

CLARIFYING

Make every exposure an education
Separate the lessons to be learned
So advance by process of elimination
As new pages in life are turned

Each exposure is indeed an education
If only we'd remain alert to know
Clouded not but to endure any emotion
Thus armed with experience but grow

PRETTY SIGHTS

There are no prettier sights than water cascading
The shades of earth's green; the cloud dotted blue sky
First flight of s young bird with its parents aiding
The inquiring expression of a young child asking, "Why?"

There are no prettier sights than your own face of hope
In flamboyant expressions of such great expectancies
The assured looks of satisfaction when can but ably cope
When are long gone life's myths and its fantasies

A TESTIMONY

I believe in God but come off not as a, "better than"
I thrive to be a mere instrument of His ways
Especially as it pertains; relates to His Redemption plan
Keeping it all contemporary; as fresh as today's

I strongly believe in God but remain very human
I found in remaining so have His glory truly met
And life and its relationships under those terms, grand
Thus under His care and for Rapture but so set

WILFULLY

It's your God-given right to go to hell
If you decidedly choose to exercise such option
You would surely know and others could tell
For your lifestyle will so portray; so sanction

It's your God-given right to go to hell
Provided by the power of your will and intellect
It won't be a venue into which accidentally fell
But an outcome of your doing that you'll so recollect

DEDUCIVELY

There is only "one" scripturally accounted as resurrected
Through whose life God's plan for Salvation has been met
Where finite and infinite had become practically connected
When ordinary,simple living on society posed a threat

There is only one so persecuted but publicly put to death
By his fresh examples of personal judgement and forgiving
There is only one who breathed life in his dying breath
That overflows into contemporary life in actual meaning

SAVING SELF

God should not be worshiped as if from us, separate; distinct
As if He was of our being some sort of remote control
While irresponsibly into depravity allow ourselves to sink
Then requesting Him to rush over to rescue;save our soul

God should be invited to take of our whole being; full possession
In such discipline and willingness to rise above ourselves
Armed with such experience and evidence but then such progression
Until apart from ourselves and God but simply hard to tell

ACCEPTED LIES

What about the lies that span the countless generations
Under the guise of proper upbringing; those of control
In the mislead of culture, superstition, even of religion
In fits of group cohesion that forms parameters, untold

What about the myths that release great excitement
Causing to focus on fantasy, hype, such commercialization
The empty promises and cunning policies of governments
The colonization attempted by economic globalization

METHODOGIES

Most human lives in retrospect but one huge experiment
To taste, try to satisfy, to attempt to capture the nature of God
To repeat through trial and error; to so secure such evidence
Carving plateau instead of steadily but on and upward

Most human lives near conclusion but summarized experiment
For the true nature of God but seldom be found
For futile came those efforts; all once soothing turned torment
Into parcels of such failures from thence eternally bound

NEEDS INDEED

After believing in God, further, that He is indeed
Basically but characteristically omnipotent
That for our well-being, for Him, a persistent need
Waiting to be satisfied, governed by every good intent

After believing in God then further that He is the greatest
Comprising above and beyond all we would ever come to know
And that it is His presence when we are at our very best
Allowing ample room left for but such solid growth

DWINDLING

With each passing day we're closer to the end
But how better are we each prepared
What from past, present, to our future in favor; send
To negate the destiny which is feared

With each passing day we're with twenty-four hours less
With that much less time left to fulfill
Never ever really knowing how much is the rest
So how can we but ever wait until...

BELIEFS

Have you confirmed the truths of your own beliefs
Or do you just believe because so many others do
Is it the comfort of the numbers that offer relief
Are you thus a mere member of but a mere crew

Have you justified by truth but such founded beliefs
Or just take for granted that so many did too
Leaving it up to chance it may be but root of grief
Have it/them confirmed and be to yourself how true

NO LOSS

Nothing is ever wasted as long as reasoning was applied
That there was inner debate and/or outer discussion
Not as long as total truth did but found to rely
And hatred and spite were not  factors of the outcome

Nothing is ever lost once there was mental growth
By any or all parties whether they would mend or not
Nothing is ever wasted once they can but go-forth
Into a new being and would not have been but so ought
