THE SETTING

Much of life every bit s daily carnival
Its put-on faces linked every attitude
Around every player but such a wall
Within; dependant on such fortitude

It most seriously depicts who we are
Where from and where intend to get
And in all its love but waged; of wars
Yet within which all dreamed are set

SLEEP-WALKING

Life seems unfair when its deep principles are unknown
When of those socialized to know, think but really apply
When inevitably off those “predicted” outcomes; thrown
When enters the real but without knowing how to comply

Life seems unfair when all thought right turns out wrong
Never once enquiring of all routinely operant; How deep
Unquestionably accepting principled to be what is “norm”
However state of mental alertness, deeply spiritually sleep

MOST DIRECTLY

Most directly ahead lays myself; me
The main catalyst of life’s challenges
In set profiles, however attitudinally
Biographically so do I write my pages

Life’s main corridor comprises; me
Offered containment of what must
Chief parameter of all that could be
Of such a participant in terms of “us”

ONCE UPON

Upon the beaches of time did I inscribe my name
Only to have, by waves of events, so erased
Altered global economy; risen oceans now remain
I hold my breath, still thinking, but a phase

Upon those sands do I gaze now but as waist deep
Procrastinating the obvious, as I should do
But turn Heavenly: To get warm within God’s keep
Like all earth, but get ready to be renewed

DENOMINATOR

Man is just man despite be his skin color
Despite whether of poverty or affluence
Same miserable man; of the same order
Entangled; hung-up at some confluence

He is betwixt familiar and unprecedented
Jarred by his own concocted, eternal plan
Totally lost by the methods; be prevented
Manifested to a less than everlasting man

DISJOINTED

Recognizing as not the consequences of our deeds
We side-step resulting in deeper consequences
Our lives then comprised of such compounded feed
Summed up or discounted as mere impediments

Simply not recognizing the consequences of our deeds
Unable to understand the followed projections
Changes us from a freshness but to ground but breeds
Leaving isolate and insulate such introductions

CAPTIVE

Unknowing to me hence unwilling was I created
In the genius likeness of my Creator
Through inherent sin became as I; impersonated
Towards that end existentially cater

Unknowing to me hence unwilling was I created
In discontinuity was I thus; nurtured
Developed a being, groping its way; amalgamated
Oft held in that confusion: Captured!

UNSUSPICIOUS

Can you tell between good and evil
Can you make a fine distinction
Know the difference of God; of devil
To benefit the latter’s extinction

Do you care whether you cross-over
In innocent yet sinful overlaps
Unable to find; discover the border
Avoid snares; if/how entrapped

ACTUALITY

God needs religion to neither beckon nor respond
He is presented in the very immediacy
The governing thoughts and actions so correspond
The advice sought; the kept company

In that precise moment may, to Him, surrender
Maybe then subject of another plan
Reluctant of heart; mind; to greatness; render
Settling to remain as; but less a man

STEADFASTLY

God endorses not that man kill man
There is no valid reason; no just cause
So doing subscribe to an alternate plan
To God’s displeasure; brunt of His laws

God endorses not that man kill man
In Him, in solitude, find personal escape
Under such very noses; learn how can
Realize God’s power; increase such faith

UNDER GOD

No level of life proves better than another
All have their characteristic emptiness
Same spiritual tapestry but “made to order”
Coupled in attitudes of better; of less

No situation on earth is worse than another
Examined principally; all but the same
Merely the need for God willfully furthered
Calling upon Him by any chosen name

ON-SCALE

Weigh your choices; weigh them well
For they may well be to grave: Beyond!
Will mark the places where rose or fell
May well be, even when you are “gone”

Weigh your choices; though God-given
Each has its own unique consequence
Done deliberately, cannot be forgiven
Without regret but its worst penance

BUT ONLY

Only in total surrender to; can be of benefit
Experience God as we lend praise; describe
Not until outfitted with such deeds of credit
Not ‘til distinguished: In His principles; abide

Only until God be indeed treated as Himself
No longer as a route of escape; a safety net
Can, to us be indeed meant; but if, ever felt
To ever get pass on which wager; which bet

PARTIALLY

Totally not of God but a split personality
Operating out of two schools of thought
Switching and connecting to two energies
Recognizing not when really what ought

Totally not of God; of potential confusion
Explosively capable of either extreme
Totally not of Him but ill-fitting conclusion
Mostly nightmares out of every dream

A FLASHING AMBER

You may be assured contrarily to what already know
For it is to some convenience you behave differently
Against your own true findings, steered would you go
Only to regretfully have further proof of that; initially

God’s adversary, so embodied, has no need for truth
Of existent threat; when so exposed; become known
Anxious; determined; attempt change it back to suit
In a new strain; a seed; seeking fertile soil (so sown)

CUNNINGLY

God never facilitated the end of earth
His inspired words only predicted it
That through man’s shifts of self-worth
The end, to him, would be credited

God never instrumented end of earth
But He knew very much of bigotry
Precisely foretold all it would unearth
Under the guises of God: Country!

VARIABLY

Life is only worth living in the presence of God
Ridden of all of its uncertainties
Wholesomely filled: Of nothing can ill-afford
Nothing in unwanted quantities

Life is relatively less without God’s presence
Left buried in such relativities
Limited to such outcomes; such sequences
Variably short its true qualities

OVERLOOKED

God’s most useful gift is of personal choice
Complemented by will and common-sense
Easy tools to recovery when all seems lost
Power over situations however immense

God’s most useful gift turns most powerful
When choice turned both sacred; so willing
When every aspect of life is so resourceful
With Him and His be operant hence fulfilling

BEYOND EXISTENCE

Life, when worth living, must make full sense
Must be heading in some positive direction
In no place be buried; defensively entrenched
With no immediate room for course correction

Life, when truly lived; sound and transparent
Bursting with God and His founded goodness
And as become His child so too become parent
Encoded in disciplined love; in such tenderness

SURVIVAL

The world is like a cruise-ship but capsized
Its affluent passengers strewn everywhere
Its hard-working crew in their roles; besides
But everyone for each, own survival; geared

Those, still inside, making short their breaths
Hoping to so survive until help comes along
Those at sea, link themselves, as safety nets
Too busy to get a grip with all went so wrong

JUSTIFYING

You know what you’re into and just why
Followed by justifications of why not out
But to break free your entire psyche cries
Abandoned main; chosen alternate route

Aware where you are but not ought to be
You know that you have missed the mark
Yet still you carry-on however incredibly
Armed with some quotation; silly remark

ALWAYS THERE

God is found in every solemn situation
Stimulated deep thinking; emotional pain
In known danger; all requiring caution
All in life one tries to so desperately regain

God is found when of situations, impractical
When seems to be no conceivable way
At times even of those but seriously comical
There as a consideration whenever may

CUSTOMIZED

Get comfortable with any isolate incident
Of which others may not be able to relate
Which God, to you, operant; most evident
Undoubtedly of no other distinctly dictates

Get comfortable; that to your uniqueness
God so condescended; so touched your life
In unheard of; unprecedented blessedness
Providing fresh reference; personal insight

DIVERSIONS

Everyone gets an experience of God
Later to be dismissed or have doubt
Revert to second-hand; of that heard
Rather than on first-hand get en-route

Everyone gets some evidence of God
Affixing some virtue; so misidentified
Eliminating thus what to turn toward
Belief in much lesser thus intensified

WHEN ABOVE

Lowered ceilings of thinking result poor experience
Of little formal education; common-sense
Some inability to process information in expedience
Including conscious reluctance; a pretense

It may be evidence of an uncaring attitude
Of required patience and/or determination to resolve
Or a simple downright display of ineptitude
Maybe non-recognition; maybe too none of the above

SUBMITTING OWNERSHIP

Imagine, you are constantly watched; being monitored
With all the freedom you enjoy; do exercise
Just so to your free will and intellect be properly catered
But with an aim to identify folly, choose wise

Imagine, you are protected; cared for; down to unknown
When exposed; only to bring to your attention
Governed by your thoughts and actions, by an entity; owned
By a conscious choice of your transactions

FRAGMENTED

God is of no time nor of any special place
Found when applied in every transaction
Of no chosen group; of no imposed taste
Scriptural, when of earthly personification

God is for, hence represented in each, alive
‘Though each short of His total embodiment
An unawareness that causes each deprived
Arising negative vibes and such; implement

ON RE-ORDER

Every tiny bit of truth lasts forever
Anything factual cannot be destroyed
Unlike the cover-up; each endeavor
All the sinful measures thus deployed

Every tiny bit of truth thus emerges
However deep within fabricated shells
However long but remain the urges
To return to the order from which it fell

DEVASTATION

Make not hell your alternative
Make of Heaven your care
Of neither be less informative
Comprehensibly prepare

Hell stands by; pretending main
Accepted without scrutiny
Until near end be so maintained
Until a surprising destiny

ON-HOLD

The path to God proves no easy task
It surpasses every earthly achievement
Modeled scripturally with star and cast
With salvation as its only consignment

Uniting with God; for man but ultimate
Failing which, to be assigned damnation
Everything less but in a suspended state
So evidenced by its very configuration
