CHASING DREAMS

The pulse of true life is felt in its happiness
Which in all actuality stays but one step ahead
Preluded by onsets of craving; really new consciousness
As we visualise this new thing of which being led

The pulse of true life lays in its happiness
Which promptly sits elsewhere having been reached
So off to another as soon as no longer impressed
In re-definitions and characteristics tailored to each

THE LIFELINE

To get very close to God is life's design
To get to Heaven is for what engineered
Should we to those two outcomes, resign
Better for ourselves and ours but prepared

Life's design is in the layout of ordinary truth
Within the parameters of being real; practical
Never altering to convenience; emotion, suit
T'is to God the attachment nay umbilical

LIGHTHEARTED

Of God's chosen are those who choose
To live cheerfully truthful; of such respect
Of anything less to quite openly refuse
So kept and sheltered by what is blessed

Of God's chosen are those who choose
To remain in the light and limelight of truth
Thus by any ill and deceit but never confused
So but never in limbo under such dispute

CHANGING THE FORMULA

God expects us to adopt His ways
By applying Scriptural to contemporary
Thus challenging the foolishness termed today's
And not be disheartened unable to change any

God expects us to adopt His every way
In the principles of Scripture turned contemporary
Thus put back promise in for all we'd pray
And no longer as awkward and contrary

ADMIT ONE

Everyone has a free ticket and a lifetime of rides
To two preset destinations- Heaven and hell
With their courses similar and laying side by side
Except that one keeps ascending; the other can into, fell

Everyone has a free ticket and a lifetime to take
Though at times quite sudden and quickly undertaken
Either in one of virtues; the other capitalising each mistake
In sure ways found blessed as opposed to that but forbidden

HESITANTLY

Of the world with all its chaos and corruption
God is still fully, quietly in-charge
Of all its ill but a welcomed interruption
A place of solace worth moving towards

Of the world with all its chaos and corruption
God over it still majestically reigns
Amongst the millions of ill outlooks and assumptions
Yet to conclude it all He still refrains

OPTIONS

You'll fulfill all Scriptural written and/or prophesied
Either in the category of the Redeemed or of the damned
Much depending on what  attitudes and values have relied
Hence whether  of just or unjust became your demand

You'll fulfill every written word of Scriptural account
Either as a Believer or left struck in total disbelief
In an appropriate dosage measured in an exact amount
Of ultimate, eternal joy or in its corresponding grief

TAKE AS DIRECTED

Towards God is life's natural hence taken direction
No matter where one perceives may be heading
Thus it constantly offers adjustments to that perception
To positions readily accepted or may be loathing

Towards God is life's national and strengthening currents
So powerful at times may tend to take you under
In jet streams of situations, sudden turns of events
With God always near: If ignored but still awaiting yonder

DOING AS SUPPOSED

When a child you're heavily rewarded for merely listening
In others efforts for you to recognise and respect proper authority
When you have grown as desired the rewards diminish until altogether missing
As your life is properly shaped and all such but self-regulatory

Similarly is God to us in the initial stages
Lessening as our faith grows and we behold Him how great
As we ourselves turn to greater good rewriting our pages
Thus from lesser to a greater being but our acquired state

SOUL PURPOSE

What is my purpose; actual role while here on earth
But to live properly and to so love and be loved
Under those terms discover what's life really worth
Thus of all former less but dutifully rise above

What is my real purpose; created role here on earth
But only to discover the fine details of becoming such
But long before departure so experience my true worth
And to have lived truly happy via achieving that much

OF NATIONALITY

God wanted me to be proud and to be Guyanese
So He went to the trouble to have me born here
Removing myself is when I did as I well pleased
Returning: I fulfilled for what was Spiritually prepared

So I had to guard against it becoming my disease
Yet remain to my identity no matter what crowd

NESTED

God is love in its entirety
Satisfies the total need to belong
The sure-stopper of every anxiety
Reveals the right beneath every wrong

God's the kingdom of which we seek
Filling every void short achievement
Uncovers strengths where once thought weak
All in founded faith; His encouragement

THUS EQUAL

One day you will lose every relationship
Everything material you've come to own
All entitlements under whatever citizenship
With one final breath everything gone

One day you will find yourself just so poor
Amidst of however good and how plenty
And in that final passage will need no more
When all is fulfilled; stone-cold and empty

NO MATTER WHERE

No matter where on earth you may find yourself
Know that with God is but the only safe place
Only with Him is there ever found something else
Like of being free, living better, secured and safe

No matter where on earth or of all ill goings on
With God all can automatically; do become better
For all our situations are for only of Him to learn
And in each of our lives to indeed mostly matter

MY GOODNESS

Be thou of good for goodness sake
And not as an investment; of self-insured
True goodness of egotistic; of no such crate
Of such illnesses but provide of sure cure

Be thou of goodness for thou art good
Pure and simple and in a most natural way
And of such all but ever reflexively could
Prepared of such service every livelong day

THIS FATHER'S DAY

This time around pay tribute to the Father of all
No matter where, globally or to which generation; belong
Become such sons and daughters; answer such call
So either establish a relationship or make the existing, strong

This time around pay tribute first to our Heavenly Father
Without Whose guidance our earthly fathers are very lost
Thus while we all are  so focussed; under such cause gather
Our true well-being; our deep Spiritual desires; co-host

IN PRAYER

An offered prayer but mostly a quiet thing
Consisting of mind and heart
On which the body thrives; of which the soul sings
And off to Heaven but a start

An offered prayer but of single or multiple event
A loving appeal but for Him to intervene
And after it accomplishes for what it was meant
On added Faith it affixes but a seal

KEYS

The key to heaven is to live real and truthfully
And as practical as you can
Only under such conditions, can you, but fruitfully
And would have discovered God's plans

To live and so love you would have found the key
To Heaven's door; to so unlock
So a better understanding of the Scriptures; their prophesies
And on the devil and hell but an organised attack

SECURING

Avoiding hell; to Heaven i must get through
Utilising each livelong day
 Qualify myself for what is reserved for a few
Secured by my deeds and what I'd pray

Avoiding hell; to Heaven is my earthly challenge
Each moment but a step of the way
Secured in totality but to what I must attend
Accumulating such tomorrows but by my todays

BUT AS LONG

As long as you can tell right from wrong
As long as in so doing crave inner peace
As long as for better is where think you belong
As long as such thinking would never cease

As long as you're human flesh and blood
As long as such your blood never turns cold
As long as over evil you'd choose good
Then you are on the merits of your soul
