CHEAP AND TRANQUIL

Peace, much more cheaply, is forever idle though on ready-alert; insistently stand-by
While man employs expensive, sophisticated measure(s) to wage ; yet lose in all wars
Mainly in failing to honestly, candidly ask of themselves/"enemies" as to, the ,really why
Except (when/if examined) but of some egotistically governed situation of appeal to, "star"

Peace of at tremendously  much smaller price/ effort, pushed to the background but amused
At the staggering monetary, human life and suffering outlived by followed period(s) of animosity
All sensibly avoided if to resort to violence to each other but (as is) considered ill, so refuse
In a giant step of all disarming, switching to humanitarian purpose(s) for each standing army
